Blocklet Store Standards
Hello team and community,
Just wanted to respond to z1bhjbMg9fma2gVTi2DmSLhEv81taqUEaf2 very recent tweet about raising the standard of Blocklets that we are submitting or have already gotten into the store.
I totally understand the need to curate the store. Just want to throw some things out to perhaps consider.
- Can we have some clear criteria about games that we are submitting to the store? Should there be a certain number of levels or intricacy of game play? Does offering rewards increase its utility? The cool thing about software is that we can constantly update it, so I'm just not sure of when to consider something "finished" vs a demo.
- If one of our Blocklets is going to be delisted because of low quality, can we get some sort of forward notice, and potential suggestions so that we can focus on those particular ones?
- If the ArcBlock team knows a way streamlined way for us to set up our store so that we offer Blocklets in the same manner as the official store, that would be very helpful. As of now I have not been able to figure this out. The only way a person could get a blocklet from my store is have dedicated server space, and this does not seem to be economically feasible at the moment. If there was some documentation or tutorial on the matter I think that could help a lot.
Those are the main three that come to my mind right now. I want to continue to contribute to the community in a valuable in meaningful way and really appreciate any consideration of my ideas. Having had zero coding just a few months ago, to now having actual apps is amazing. This may also contribute to me being a little over excited about things that other more experienced developers don't consider that big of a deal, and I totally understand that. It's a spectrum, and to that point, offering these opportunities to low-coders does a lot to widen that spectrum. I know I'm at the low end of it and truly appreciate the patience that you have shown and also the inspiration that you have given.
Thank your for listening/reading 🙂

To be a little more candid, I currently have my first game for submission to the main store. #spraycandy currently has two levels where a user can play a match 3 game and win a free download. I see this as being a very unique method of rewarding players.
The game is simple, but I have put a lot of time into it.
I feel like this reward system is a first of its kinds, chatgpt also feels this way. Many platforms let you earn tokens but to earn a free song is not heard of. Although simple, I feel like this type of reward system could potentially be utilized by artists and companies all the way to the top of the industry.
Is this game, because it is simple considered to be a demo?
