Qualifying post monthly cut off

Just wondering if there is a “cut off” for qualifying posts in each monthly pool? I know you guys do a great job working through as many queries, questions and suggestions prior to the monthly reward pool distribution but I was curious as to what the cut off time is? I’m assuming it falls to the last day of the month though I have no idea what time as I’m unsure of the time zone you work by? But given the workings out the team need to make and calculations in advance of distributing the reward pool is there a cut off time for posts to qualify? Maybe there could eventually be a countdown added to community page to highlight this ensuring efficient contribution and also to cut down work for you guys and girls because anything after the deadline would fall to the following months workload?

Since the bug bounty reward is distributed in monthly intervals, to make sure each contribution counts, we do things in the following procedure:

  • Each reward distribution happens at the beginning of each month
  • Issue reviewing will be paused at the first 1 or 2 days of each month (before the distribution) to eliminate possible overlap between month
    • We will ensure all posts from the distribution month are reviewed
  • Each distribution will fetch all posts that are qualified but not rewarded since the last distribution, to make sure all qualified are counted
  • Each distribution will group and count qualified posts by user, and then calculate the share of the reward by the count

So, back to your question:

if there is a “cut off” for qualifying posts in each monthly pool? I’m unsure of the time zone you work by?

We will use the UTC of month end (2025-05-31T23:59) on each distribution to filter posts to calculate shares for each user, but the filter may contain posts from previous month that become qualified within this month.
