Developer Reward Pool Point System Suggestion

In reference to this discussion and voting:

It seems the community so far has chosen that both quantity and quality of the blocklets published will matter in terms of rewards.

Here is a reasonable point system suggestion I would like to make to the team, taking into consideration both the quantity and quality of the blocklets published (considering time/effort ratio, utility, UI/UX) and the utilization of the ArcBlock’s technology stack (which should weigh more in my opinion, to encourage and incentivize builders and users to utilize the ArcBlock technology sources available):

  • AIGNE Resource blocklets:

a) Multi-Agent Blocklet with UI/UX: 10 points

b) Single Agent Blocklet with UI/UX: 5 points

c) Single Agent Blocklet with no UI/UX: 2 points

  • Pages Kit Reusable Component: 10 points
  • Standalone Blocklets made from other component blocklets and no code (i.e NFT Blender, NFT Maker, Pages Kit): 5 points
  • Utility Blocklet developed with programming languages: 2-10 points per blocklet

(At the discretion of the team’s review, ranging from 2 points for low quality UI, functionality, utility, and a max cap of 10 points per blocklet if the usability, functionality, utility and UI/UX is of high standard)

  • Games developed with programming languages:

a) Single level game with minimal UI/UX: 1 point

b) Single level game with high UI/UX: 2 points

c) Game with multiple levels and high UI/UX: 5 points

d) (In rare occasions): An exceptional game with multiple levels (perhaps even RPG element), high UI/UX, multiplayer support, AI support, integration of ABT tech for adoption: 10 points

In all those instances, the maximum points per blocklet published to be gained are 10 points for exceptional blocklets. This ensures a balanced approach where a blocklet of high standards is rewarded appropriately, while still not overpowering the distribution system.

At the end of the competition, each user‘s number of approved and published blocklets is counted, then the points per blocklet are assigned as shown in the suggestion above. Then based on total points, the reward pool is distributed to the users. I think this approach provides a good balance of quantity and quality, ensuring no one is disadvantaged and everyone is rewarded fairly based on effort.

I also suggest that for future blocklet reward competitions, previously qualified blocklets are also counted for the rewards. This would be by design and ensures that the early adopters which secured the success of ArcBlock becoming mainstream will always be rewarded for their early contributions. Newer builders coming at a later stage in time will also have the chance to “climb up the ranks“ and build their way to more rewards, but it’s the early adopters who played a pivotal role. For this reason, I would also like to suggest that future reward pools increase in size of ABT rewarded, so in this way everyone can still benefit from the fruits of their labour (the early adopters being rewarded appropriately, as well as the newcomers having enough rewards available for their contributions).

I hope the team takes this into consideration.

For all community users and builders, please feel free to add further additions, suggestions or modification if needed.

I’m looking forward to hear everyone’s views and opinions on this proposal.
