Post confirmations on possible duplication

could we implement a system that highlights possible duplicate posts prior to posting and gives a warning box to users before they post maybe something that displays “this may be a duplicate” with links to similar posts that would require the user to click a box to confirm they have checked the related/suggested posts and their new post is not a duplicate. This might help cut down duplicate posts from new users if we had an algorithm to automatically flag potential duplicates prior to posting.
