Feature Request: Stripe Crypto Support in Payment Kit UI
Stripe now lets merchants accept crypto payments (USDC/USDT) directly, alongside fiat. Payment Kit supports Stripe, but the checkout UI still only shows USD as the option.
This means customers don’t see the full story — they think Stripe = fiat, even though Stripe offers both Card and Crypto once you click through.
Request:
- Let us override the display label (e.g. “Stripe — Card + Crypto”), OR
- Auto-detect and show the available Stripe methods (Card + USDC/USDT) in the Payment Kit checkout.
That way, the customer-facing flow is accurate, and it highlights one of Stripe’s biggest new advantages: low-fee stablecoin payments.

You can edit and modify the name, and the description of the currency option on the payment page will change accordingly.

You should update name, not description
how do I change this USD to say USD/USDC
The payment method here is displayed as currency Symbol + method name; therefore, USD cannot be changed to USD/USDC. You can modify the method name from Stripe to Stripe(USD/USDC)
Thanks for confirming how Payment Kit displays payment methods (currency symbol + method name). That clears things up.
That said, I’d like to circle back on why a bit more flexibility here could be valuable. Right now the USD label feels limiting, since Stripe itself supports both fiat and stablecoins. From a customer-facing perspective, being able to dynamically show USD/USDC (or similar) would make things much clearer and reduce confusion about available options.
I understand the current design keeps things consistent, but giving developers more control over the display could help us communicate the full scope of supported payments without redundancy. Even something as simple as allowing overrides for the currency portion would go a long way.
