Thank you for your feedback. Discuss Kit has a setting that controls whether normal users can publish blog posts, and currently, it is enabled by default. I think that it should be disabled by default, and we will address this in the next version.

Maybe its not a bug but could be a feature request?
It can be toggled from what i can tell, so its not quite a bug in my mind - but maybe an addition for when toggled> allow for assigning which passports can make a discussion/blog?

That's a great suggestion. The implementation of fine-grained access control based on passports has always been a key objective for discuss-kit. We appreciate your input and will review your suggestion. I will keep this thread updated with any developments.
